Rectifier is a device that converts alternating current (AC supply) to direct current (DC supply).

The half wave rectifier (HWR) is single diode circuit which is used to transform Alternating Voltage to Direct Voltage.

HWR circuit allows the one – half cycle of the AC Supply waveform to pass and blocks the other half cycle.

2. A Transformer

3. A Load(may be a Resistance)
