Introduction
The atmosphere is a gaseous solution. It consists of nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, water, methane, and some other minor components. A solution is a homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances. In such a mixture, a solute is a substance dissolved in another substance, known as a solvent. The solution more or less takes on the characteristics of the solvent including its phase, and the solvent is commonly the major fraction of the mixture.
Classification of solution
Three types of solutions
Unsaturated solution:
A solution is said to be saturated when the solvent is not capable of dissolving any more solute at a particular (definite) temperature.
Ex: 1% Na-cl solution.
Saturated solution:
A solution is said to be saturated when the solvent is not capable of dissolving any more solute at a particular (definite) temperature.
Ex: Saturated solution of magnesium sulfate.
Super saturated solution:
A solution is said to be supper saturated when it contain a larger amount of the solute than it is necessary to form a saturated solution than it is necessary to form a saturated solution a particular temperature. It is said to be super saturated at that temperature. If the temperature became down/reduce it become crystal from.
